“Thop!” and “FSSSSS!” are not sounds you want coming out of your body.
Paul here. Just wanted to highlight one of my favorite Graphicly titles on this gray Friday afternoon. Did you dig Thor? Especially all the great Frost Giant slobberknockers? And all that expansive mythology? While there’s plenty of Thor to be had on Graphicly, here’s something similar with great moments of monster smashing. And for the love of Odin’s ravens is it fun!
I’m talking about Phil Hester’s The Anchor from Boom! Studios.
If you’ve read Hester’s recent take on Wonder Woman, you know the guy loves his mythology. Paired with the art of Brian Churilla, it’s a slam dunk for your sword and sorcery fix.
This is like God of War…with a beard.
Grab hold of The Anchor right now.

Spotlight: Our 3000th Comic! The Darkness #84

So, we were working away in the Graphicly offices when out of nowhere, Justin Timberlake goes, “Mackey, put it up on the big screen. We’ve gotta almost be there.” And sure enough, we were.

3000 comics. All available to download and read on Graphicly.
Actually, it’s more than 3000 right now. But we wanted to do something special to commemorate that 3000th comic. So which one was it? Little drum roll on your desk, please.
The Darkness #84 from writer Phil Hester and artist Whilce Portacio might be #84 for Top Cow, but it’s #3000 for us. It just so happens that it’s an incredibly pivotal juncture in the ongoing story of Jackie Estacado and his infernal armor. The Darkness—as Jackie’s mystical runway piece is known in fiery fashion circles—isn’t the kind of hand-me-down you really want to get cozy with. All that power and all that ugly demands the attention of some pesky Hunter-Killers, and sometimes that means you start your day with a decapitation or two. Then an ancient ancestor shows up with his magic staff and lectures you on power and responsibility. The Darkness has allowed Jackie to form constructs and even dispatch demonic underlings to do his bidding for years now. But according to Gramps, the kid’s just been scratching the surface. Things are about to get even grizzlier.
Sounds good? In celebration of the big milestone, you can pick up The Darkness #84 at 50% off the regular price. That’s 99 cents. No deals with the devil required. No deals with Justin Timberlake either.

Download and read The Darkness #84 on Graphicly now. And don’t think we’re stopping at 3000. You can pick up issues #85 and #86 too. Have at it, my Darklings!
