Dead Run #1 - #2 Avg Rating on iFanboy: 3.95
“All Speed. No Limits.” The end isn’t near… it’s here. America has become a wasteland, leaving the few cities that remain transformed into impenetrable fortresses. Beyond these walls lies The Zone, a brutal, plague-ravaged landscape stretching from one city to the next, populated by mutants, monsters, and warring factions of survivors driven insane by disease and starvation — only the very brave or the very foolish voluntarily step foot outside the protective confines of the mega-cities.
For more info on Dead Run check out this episode of Waid TV from CBR with the creators.

Of the new books in the store this week, Celtic Bard’s Ghost of the Murderer’s Hut was one that really caught my eye., It’s based off of a poem of the same name by poet Andrew Barton Paterson. I’m a big fan of older Ghost/Horror stories, so The Ghost of the Murderer’s Hut sounds like something right up my alley. What do you think? Are you excited for old school ghost stories?
But the book I’m most excited for is Dead Run. The creators mention in the Waid TV interview that they were looking at John Carpenter films, Judge Dredd, Mad Max, etc. for inspiration, so you know its gonna be good. And the art by Francesco Biagini looks great. Take a look below as Nick Masters drives through the wastes fighting Mutants:

Sweet Car, right? It almost makes me want to do an A-Team Montage of my VW Jetta to make it as cool as Nick Masters’s car. What do you think community, should I break out the welder? Anyone want to help?
Before we start mounting a weapons onto my car, check out this week’s comics and let us know what you think by either dropping me an email jons [at] graphicly.com or through our community forum.
